What does the market hitting all time highs mean, and should you take some profits? Find out in this week's Arista Advice.
Hello, welcome to Arista Advice. Question of the week is: "Paul, the market is at all time highs, should we take some profits? Great question being asked by many people in the last couple of days when the market has hit an all time high of 30,000+ in the Standard & Poor's. Let me share with you some data and some information. As you'll see on this chart going all the way back to 1926 with the Standard & Poor's 500, when the market has hit new market highs looking forward one year the market has returned a 14.1% return. The three year number is up 10.4%, and the five year number is up 9.9%. My dear friends and clients, friends, and associates, you have to stay in the game. You have to stay on the bus and on the plane, even though there's all time highs that are achieved and reached everyday. The advances in the market are permanent, and the declines are temporary. Hope this information is helpful. Please remember to keep the long-term view in mind in a short-term world that we live in. Also, don't forget.
